Privacy Policy

How Trenax handles personal data, written to be read rather than to protect us.

Before launch: have this reviewed by a Kenyan legal adviser and confirm registration with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner where required. It is a solid starting draft, not legal advice.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, company, business type, budget range, timeline and the description of what you need. We collect this only because you chose to send it.

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. This records page views, approximate region and device type. It does not identify you personally.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal, and carry out any work you engage us for.

To improve the website based on which content people actually read.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing. Ever.

Who else sees it

Our hosting and infrastructure providers process data on our behalf under their own data-processing agreements. This currently includes our website host and our email provider.

We disclose personal data to anyone else only where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after 24 months.

Client records are retained for seven years after the engagement ends, as required for tax and contractual purposes.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it.

To exercise any of these, write to info@trenax.co.ke. We respond within 14 days.

Cookies

We use a single browser storage entry to remember your light or dark theme preference. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Analytics may set cookies to distinguish repeat visits. You can block these in your browser without affecting how the site works.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on infrastructure with access controls and encryption at rest. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to respond to you.
